High Court verdict on Singur Land Acquisition Act

Finally Kolkata High Court has given its verdict on Singur Land Acquisition Act. Thank God they did it on a fast track.

Now since the verdict has gone in favour of the Government its time to think about its future effects.
Should any government be allowed to release all lands being acquired by the previous government and distribute it to the original owners?

Why an industrial organization be punished because of the feud between two political parties?
If the government has the power to take back all the lands then they should do it at the cost of pating back the present owners. The rates may be debatable but where is the logic of poaching the land from an industry which has already paid to the previous government.

While it is definitely a good news for the deprived poor population it is a disastrous decision for any industry's investment. There would not be any question had the land been directly acquired by the industrial Organisation. But these lands were acquired by the previous government and were handed over to the organisation at a cost.

This case will anyway go to Supreme Court and I hope the final decision is made keeping all probable future implications in mind.
