The mass killing - new face of social terrorism

I just went through the videos of the mass shooting in a school in Connecticut today. There were 20 kids between the age of 5 and 10 who were klled before they get to know what life is. I have a daughter of four and half years and this news made me shiver in shock & grief. Where are we taking our kids? In which world have we brought them?
These incidents should shake our egos and question the pseudo-satisfaction of urban lives. Inside every so called successful, highly achieving person there lies a frustrated, dissatisfied persona. We have chosen a wrong path. We have chosen the path of destruction in the name of success and glamour.
On one hand we can question the law which allows so many people to own gun. But the real problem does not lie in owning a weapon but lies in the need of using it. We need to find the reason which is bringing in more and more frustrated people in society. We have to see why people are taking such extreme paths while we have more money, better infrastructure, healthier food, more sophisticated cars in today's world to enjoy our lives. A desperate person is as destructive as a terrorist. If today we dont wake up and think about our social evils it will be just a matter of time before we face a new breed of social terrorism in our day to day life.
